Velocity Investments, LLC v. Client (Supreme Court, Wayne County (2025))

Velocity Investments, LLC brought suit against Client in the Supreme Court, Wayne County.  Velocity filed an Affidavit of Service indicating that it had served client at the client’s usual place of abode.  However, client had previously relocated to California.  Because the action would have been vulnerable to a Motion to Dismiss under CPLR 3211, Attorney Woods was able to negotiate a discontinuance of the action, with the client paying nothing.
